Thanks to Sebastian for the 'wirtschaftlich' idea. I'm not so sure about the Eigentums- part....

Sebastian W. - as a D.I. u. zw. discussion 'intrant' in Scottish - to post his discussion entry as an answer und soll dabei Stellung zum Eigentumsrecht nehmen.
My problem with the other D.I., namely Verrelli's full ref. postings, is not the source interest, but that the target of the ben. int. is the collection and not the receivables, namely how a 'proprietary interest' in a collection would be protected or regd. in the UK or Oz, for that matter: as an 1. assignment of book debts, so controversially as 2. a floating charge in a company debenture, 3. a conditional bill of sale by way of mortgage (approx. ein Sicherungs-übereignungs-vertrag) or some other 4. credit sale/ hire purchase registration and 5. would a Registrar allow such an interest to be regd. at all?

Discussion
I think the first time around I read this phrase in the source text as referring to a set/group of receivables. It now looks like that was wrong.

So maybe "Eigentum*" would have worked better with 'financial interest' in the receivables themselves.
Could something involving "Anspruch auf" also be used here?
I bow to those with superior knowledge in these matters.

...and such a clause/scheme can be interpreted in (potentially) surprising ways
http://www.mondaq.com/australia/x/221812/charges mortgages i...
This presumably means "right, title, or legal share in something" / "An involvement, claim, right, share, stake in or link with a financial, business, or other undertaking or endeavor [in]".

So it is not so surprising for the idea of 'Eigentum' to be proposed.
Of the two I would tentatively favour "Eigentumsposition" over "Eigentumsrecht". The latter sounds (to me) like it could apply more to 'options' or some sort of 'statutory right' than to a 'realised' stake.
