martensite e austenite sono due fasi diverse, con diverse caratteristiche di una lega FeC (acciai e ghise).

Ho visto il titolo citato nel link, il numero di settembre di una rivista di metallurgia, ma per me si tratta di un clamoroso errore.

(da vecchi ricordi di Chimica Applicata, detta anche tecnologia dei materiali)

In risposta alla replica qui sopra: non dubito che il termine esiste, ma non corrisponde al termine richiesto, e il titolo citato nella rivista (titolo italiano, traduzione in inglese) è un palese errore.

In tutti i siti che ho trovato io e dai miei (antichi) studi di metallurgia, in chimica applicata, le due fasi sono diverse e i nomi in italiano e inglese sono tanto simili da essere distinguibili perfettamente, anche dai profani.

I due diz. Marolli e McGraw-Hill ovviamente confermano:

martensitico = martensitic
austenitico = austenitic
