Coordinated Phosphate: Dependent on boiler water conditions, addition of other phosphate compounds may be required when using the coordinated phosphate control method. Variations in the boiler feedwater, caused by such conditions as makeup demineralizer leakage and condenser tube leaks, can effect boiler water pH and the sodium to phosphate ratio. These phosphate compounds that may be required to attain the desired control parameters are:

Alkali consuming monosodium phosphate
Alkali neutral disodium phosphate
Alkali building trisodium phosphate

Phosphate trisodium = fosfato trisodico
