come tradurreste basic solution? Credo di intuire il senso ma non riesco a rendere bene la frase in italiano:

XXX offers device control to block certain devices as well as making removable drives read only and preventing the execution of a program from removable media. XXX's device control is a basic solution and can be labor intensive. This feature will appeal to customers
who are concerned about accidental loss of data on to USB keys and are prepared to lock down computers. This can offer enough protection for environments like call centers, but is too crude for business users that have valid business reasons for using USB keys, and removable drives.

secondo me il senso è che l'applicazione lavora in maniera trasparente, ovvero l'utente non se ne accorge. lavora quindi "a basso livello", vicino al sistema operativo diciamo. potresti anche usare "trasparente"...
