Science - Education / Pedagogy / descrizione di corsi universitari
English term or phrase: Acting Creates Therapeutic Success(ACTS)
Contesto:

XXXX 0000 Occupational Therapy in the Community
XXXX 1111 Data Analysis
XXXX 2222 Interdisciplinary Leadership in Pediatric Practice I (elective)
(Elective) XXXX 3333 Acting Creates Therapeutic Success(ACTS): A Service-Learning Experience

"la recitazione crea successo terapeutico"
Explanation:

"A.C.T.S.
Acting Creates Therapeutic Success
The Acting Creates Therapeutic Success (A.C.T.S.) program at UCA was developed in 1997 by Dr. Cathy Acre and Dr. Jennifer Johnson of the Department of Occupational Therapy.

The goal of the program is to provide a creative outlet where people with disabilities can develop learning skills, nurture independence and self-worth and enhance well being.

A.C.T.S. is a collaborative program with VSA Arts and it is the only program of its kind in the nation.

The A.C.T.S. program brings the power of the arts into the lives of all the participants by engaging the human spirit, exciting the imagination and sparking the intellect."

News: For Some Kids with Autism "Acting Creates Therapeutic Success"
Posted: Monday, March 2, 2009 - 16:12
Acting Creates Therapeutic Success (ACTS), an Arkansas organization for adults with developmental disabilities, added a children's component developed by Krista Tapp and Lynne Hollaway, two occupational therapists. Most of the children receive therapeutic interventions at Pediatrics Plus Therapy Service. ACTS allows the children with autism and other developmental delays to express creativity, interact with peers, increase social skills and have some fun at the same time. "What ACTS Jr. does is integrate children of all abilities through the use of performing arts."

  -> Grazie mille ;-)
