(leg., GB) procuratore legale; avvocato; legale; notaio NOTE DI CULTURA: solicitor: è un legale che dà pareri, si occupa di trasferimenti di proprietà (conveyancing), testamenti, eredità e questioni fiscali; agisce da tramite tra il cliente e il «barrister» ed è abilitato a patrocinare solo nelle corti inferiori, ma dal 1990 può ottenere la qualifica per il patrocinio anche in quelle superiori
