Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVAL) is compatible with a wide range of chemicals and solvents. However, some aggressive chemicals may react with the OH-function of the PVAL molecular structure during extended periods of storage, adversely effecting solubility and causing the film to discolor and/or become brittle. These phenomenon can be accelerated by high temperature and humidity. Some chemicals known to affect Solublon include borates, halogen compounds, aldehydes, inorganic and strong alkalies and acids.

Googleで日本語を指定すると、4つの例しかなく、aggressive chemical controlやaggressive chemical mimicryでは、aggressiveが形容しているのは薬品ではなく、controlやmimicryといったもう一つ先の名詞。
