English term
application vs filing
English to Japanese
Law/Patents
Law: Patents, Trademarks, Copyright
In the headings of a patent I have
"International APPLICATION Number"
Two lines below I have
"International FILING Date"
and
"FILING Language"
I wanted to know if there is a difference between these terms. When I got to translate Ja>En patents I never saw 申請 in the headings, so this time I was thinking of using 出願 for both of them. Is there somebody skilled in the art who could share some insights with me?
Thank you

Both application and filing are translated as 出願 in this case. I am skilled in the art because I translate this field. See below.
