agree Olga Cartlidge : Bene dicis, Dat. Ethicus, Cf Terentius:" gaudio esse alicui". Caeterum censeo "alicui" per homines dicendum esse, ie "gaudio mihi, parentibus, populo Romano, venientibus, Augusto" etc. His rebus dictis, non affirmaverim sed malim "ornant" dicere.
