Medical Treatments for Injuries
If you develop a problem which requires medical attention, you will be examined by your physician and medical care will be given. Your insurance company, or you, will be billed, as would normally happen. However, X will pay for the cost of medical treatment (over what the insurance company pays) for any injury that is directly due to treatment with the study medications when used as described in the study protocol. No other compensation is offered.
You should submit your request for financial compensation for treatment costs to Dr. name. Dr. name will make sure that X takes appropriate actions. To ensure that X can settle claims for financial compensation, X maintains a contract with the Insurance Company.

money compensation from the injurer in the event that possible harm actually
occurs (Calabresi and Melamed 1972). A liability right thus combines the victim’s
right and the injurer’s liability. A liability right is contingent upon conditions
stipulated in law, such as the injurer’s negligence causing the victim’s harm
(Cooter 1991). When the contingencies occur, a liability right matures into a legal right of action with a claim to damages.
