REINFORCED CONCRETE CHAIN BOND
MAKING A REINFORCED CONCRETE CHAIN BOND
(REINFORCED CONCRETE - beton armat... insa CHAIN BOND ???)
It is not to make the framing solid but to enable the coping stones to be fitted permanently without waiting for the backfilled soil to stabilise (which sometimes takes several years).
It is preferable to fill up to flush with the chain bond supports to make shuttering easier.
1. Around the framing, put pieces of polystyrene (A) 4 cm thick and 17 cm high. You remove the polystyrene when the concrete has set so as to get a small groove that the liner will be slotted into.

Commonly flat lengths of steel laid between courses of concrete blocks, and reinforcement bars inserted down the cells in blocks at corners, around doors and windows, to hold the masonry together in earthquakes.
Invented by the Romans, who brought their seismic design to parts of the world such as Mayenne in France where you don't get earthquakes, as a rule: they embedded iron ties between their stone blocks. After they got booted out, the local tribes broke the iron out of the joints to make iron tools, leaving holes at the ends of the stones left in place.
