т.е зенитный фонарь удерживается в любом открытом положении при действии силы, соответствующей перепаду давления в 50 Па

сабж переводится "в любом открытом положении", но остаются вопросы - что именно открыто, что такое "holding the light".
А само предложение для меня никакого смысла не имеет, увы
