English term

Cranking Aid Time

English to Spanish Tech/Engineering Energy / Power Generation Generator Sets
Hello, I am having trouble understanding the difference between Cranking Aid Time and Start Aid Time. It is a manual that describes the different engine settings. Their description is as follows:

Start Aid Time displays the time programmed to allow the engine starting aid to warm up before cranking the engine.
Cranking Start Aid Time indicates the time programmed to allow operation of a preheat or ether system during the engine crank cycle

As far as I know, Cranking is Arranque but it is also the Term Start, so if the first one is Tiempo de arranque asistido, I have no idea what the second one is about. Unless Cranking is talking about a "manivela" which changes the idea completely. Another example is:

Cranking Start Aid Time indicates the time programmed to allow operation of a preheat or ether system during the engine crank cycle

But then it makes me think it does talk about Arranque when I find these definitions:

The colour Red indicates the generator set is cranking or running from a local command
The transient start/stop function of the controller prevents accidental cranking of the rotating engine

Im so confused! Please Help!

Many thanks!!

tiempo de arranque con giro asistido

I understand that the cranking time is after the start time. During the start time the engine gets warm but is still static and during the cranking time the preheat or the system of ether starts working and the engine is in movement.
