Buenas tardes,

Estoy traduciendo un Contrato de garantía y en el apartado en que se hace referencia las subastas
de los "Pledged Assets" aparece el término "offsetting". El contexto es el siguiente:
(NOTA: Me parece que "closing deed" es un error y se refiere a "closing bid", ¿correcto?)

"the Secured Creditor may participate in the auction by itself.
If the Pledged Assets are awarded, the Secured Creditor may exercise the closing deed by offsetting or by way of assignment of the closing bid to a third party;
the Secured Creditor shall not be obliged to make the deposit set forth in paragraph (xi) above"

¿Alguien me podría explicar qué significa "offsetting" aquí? (compensar??)
