English term

An intake interview at an outpatient clinic

English to Spanish Medical Medical: Health Care
The above phrase is commonly used to introduce more explanation to clients that will be receiving mental health services at clinics. Some times this phrase may be used in marketing materials and other brochures.

I have 2 questions:

- I have seen "intake" translated into different words in the same context
- I have seen "outpatient" translated into different words in the same context.

In both translations, it appears there is no agreement among translators as far as which translation is the appropriate or correct one. This is used in the Midwest, USA, where there are folks from Mexico, Ecuador, Cuba, and other Latin American countries.

Thank you in advance for your assistance,

Alejandro.

agree usuarioless : "intake" como "admisión" y "outpatient" como "ambulatorio" para mí está perfecto para América Latina.
