Steven Huddleston Oct 11, 2010:
Agree with Robert Lucrecia, you are asking for "exactly the meaning" of a very ambiguous phrase, and offer no context, (is it part of a dialog in a children’s book, a politician’s speech, a sign in a bathroom, etc.). Context is not just the words that surround the phrase, it can be a general description of the document or object that contains the phrase, (a newspaper ad for cereal, a warning label on a box of candy, etc.), or the circumstances that surrounded its occurrence. Please, without context, given the ambiguity of this phrase, your request is ludicrous, we would all be groping in the dark.

Give us a little context, yes?
Robert Forstag Oct 11, 2010:
No context?? I cannot think of *any* context in which this string of words would make sense, and I don't understand your comment that there "is no context." Are the words typed on a blank page that has no other text or design elements? If so, then it is hard to know why one would need to know what they mean or, indeed, how you could possibly determine if any suggestion that might be made is accurate or not....

Satisface tus necesidades

Literalmente la frase viene a decir "entregarse o sucumbir a las necesidades. Ahora bien, dependiendo de la frase o del contexto, tendrás que modificar la persona. ¿Está en imperativo?

Entrégate o sucumbe a tus necesidades suena bastante literal, SUena a una traducción de mala calidad. En ese caso cambiaría un poco la frase, y daría una traducción más libre, al modo de... "satisface tus necesidades"...

Espero haberte ayudado algo.

Saludos,
Cristina

ceder(a)sus necesidades

Sin contexto es difícil dar con el sentido exacto. Una persona puede dar prioridad a las necesidades ajenas(cede), o en lugar de mantener una *posición especial* es débil y cede a sus necesidades.

Te hago una aclaración de un error mío. En el caso de ceder a sus necesidades ----yield to-----sería la preposición que tendría que acompañar a *yield*. La única opción válida sería --ceder sus necesidades, es decir dar prioridad a las ajenas.
