English to Swedish Tech/Engineering Engineering: Industrial fire pumps and pump installations

CAUTION it is advised not to defeat the isolator switch to prove the AC circuits whilst the batteries of the DC circuit are disconnected.

I´m also uncertain of what 'prove the AC circuits' refers to here. Maybe I could get the whole sentence.
