A relatively common idiom referring to someone who has an irritating face such that you want to slap it. The Germans have the word Backpfeifengesicht for a 'face that should be slapped' e.g.
-When GWB smirks on TV, my German friend Uwe tells me that he sees a 'Backpfeifengesicht'.
In French it is tête à claques, translated loosely as "a face so ugly, you want to slap it", which can refer to those speaking the French of Quebec & is also the title of a well known French film.
The Greeks talk of 'a face for slaps'- ´εχει φάτσα για γροθιές.
Do the Turkish have such an expression for a Backpfeifengesicht?
