began growing up together with me

English Art/Literary Music
Since then my gifts began growing up together with me and led me into an unknown universe.

Is it possible to say "began growing up together with me " about a gift of foresight? Thank you in advance.

Not "together with me"

Perhaps, "[as I was growing,] my gifts were growing {too|with me}", or something along those lines.
