hmmmm... now it is clear...but it will be a lot longer in English...something like:
Partial military service exemption due to father's participation at the front

Your suggestion is ok, too, as long as the reader already knows what it means...for me it wasn't clear what the deduction actually was...it might be better to use "reduction" instead of "deduction"

time off of military service Since the draftee's father has served at the Iran-Iraq war front, the draftee will be given a partial exemption, i.e. he will serve for a shorter duration than the standard period. Now, any idea to improve the option suggested?

question... what is this "deduction"? Is it money? Is it time off of military service for serving at the war front? Or is it something totally different?

This is one of those things where the words don't mean anything unless you know the context.
