Ignition (timing) advance Explanation: I am aware that "...verschiebung" literally means "shift" but, in American anyway, mechanics always speak of "advance" rather than "shift". The points are spring mounted on a plate, which automatically returns to the "initial" or "idle" setting, when the advance mechanism - centrifugal and/or vacuum - releases. |
