German term

Radlöseerkennung

German to English Marketing Automotive / Cars & Trucks audi
True and false statements on a questionnaire about a new car:

Die Radlöseerkennung ist einzigartig im Markt und Bestandteil des optionalen Reifendruck-Kontrollsystems.

All I find is "tire safety," but I'm not confident about that.

Discussion

Susan Welsh (asker) Sep 21, 2017:
Hi Björn I know a few people who should be indicted for having a wheel (or a screw) loose!
Thanks for your note, I didn't notice the typo!
Björn Vrooman Sep 21, 2017:
Hello Richard and Susan Would you mind adding the -a- for "indicator," since you may not otherwise find it in the glossary? Not that someone may think he or she is being indicted based on having a wheel loose =)

Best wishes
Richard Stephen Sep 20, 2017:
@ Susan Yes, I had a client who insisted on using Across also. It was really the worst CAT tool I have ever used. The only reason I did it was because they paid 50% more than my usual clients. it is even worse than Transit, which I truly hate. The best I've found so far is MemoQ, with SDL Trados a close second (but more expensive).

Well, if your lug nuts are loose, your wheel certainly is going to be loose too!

If you like "loose wheel indicator" without the nuts better, here's a reference for that too:

But, unless you're allergic, you should have the nuts too - it's much better, maybe even with a little whipped cream on top. ;-)
Note from asker:
The German counterpart to your Wikipedia page gives Radmutterindikator. ???
You've got a point!
That's exactly what I used "loose wheel indicator," and sent the job off. I should never have accepted it, because it is way too far from my expertise (plus I hate the Across CAT tool, which this client insists upon). Thanks for your help.
