Hochdosierung

Deutsch > Englisch Technik Bauwesen/Hochbau/Tiefbau water treatment
Evening all
here we have a piece with not much context - a spec sheet for a treatment plant.

Digitaleingänge: Warnmelderelais Stoßdosierung, Hochdosierung oder manuell

I'm leaning towards "shock dose/dosing", even though "Schockdosierung" evidently also exists in this context.
Refs for "Hochdosierung" are mainly medical as far as I can tell rather than connected with water treatment. For Stoßdosierung I have "batch dosing".
So can anyone help with Hochdosierung please?
Much appreciated as always

high dosing / intermittent or indeed shock/batch

Although "shock dosing" and "batch dosing" are indeed used in wastewater treatment, your terms are related to a warning relay. This tends to suggest that the warnings are being generated if the dosing is too high (Hochdosierung) or intermittent (Stoßdosierung). Shock dosing is usually intentional and carried out manually so it probably wouldn't require a warning relay.

agree Rebecca Garber : my husband the water treatment engineer says high dosing and manual override/acknowlegdment of alarm make sense, but you don't need an alarm for batch dosing. He suggests low/interrupted dosing for that one.
