automatic stacker for squared timber Explanation: Kantholz = dressed/squared timber/lumber Lumber is used in US English and timber in BE. Legeautomat = automatic stacker? The automatic stacker greatly facilitates handling of the rough lumber which is then led either to the drying kiln or to the yard for planing. The stacker also automatically lays down furring strips between each layer of lumber. http://www.claudeforget.qc.ca/english/newfiles/scietap3.htm -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 54 mins (2005-07-04 20:39:40 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Additional thoughts: they are transporting rough panels to the Kranlager, which is equipped with an automatic stacker for Kantholz. Kantholz is squared timber or squared stock anyway you look at it and not panels. So, although they\'re talking about processing rough panels, the machine referred to is still designed to handle squared stock. It would seem the squared-stock machine can also handle panels.
