Hi guys,

I'm struggling with a section of a very long financial document. Here is the entire segment for context:

Die Märkte verhalten sich heutzutage teilweise sehr volatil und erfahrungsgemäß gibt sich auch der kleinste und vorsichtigste Anleger auf Dauer nicht mit Cent Beträgen als Gewinn zufrieden und erhöht auf kurz oder lang das Volumen derartig, dass einfach zu wenig "Polster" auf dem Konto vorhanden ist, als das die eingegebenen Positionen die Schwankungen am Markt dauerhaft überstehen könnten.

The last part, especially the term "Polster", is giving me a particular headache.
