Payslip from a German company.
In the box with personal information about the employee, and after the personal reference number and other details,
it says: "Beitrag f. Basistarif".
Could the f. stand for "freiwillig" and be to do with voluntary insurance contributions?
If so, any ideas about how to phrase this please?
"Contribution voluntary base rate" sounds a bit odd, but the best I can do at the moment.

Der Basistarif ist ein branchenweit einheitlicher Tarif in der Privaten Krankenversicherung, der zum 1. Januar 2009 mit dem GKV-Wettbewerbsstärkungsgesetz eingeführt wurde. This coverage must be made available to anyone eligible to be privately insured and at the same cost as the premiums charged by the statutory funds.
