Bedrohlichkeitsprüfung
Jede stattfindende Veränderung sofort auf ihre Bedrohlichkeit zu überprüfen, hat eine überlebenssichernde Funktion und deshalb für Mensch wie Tier absolute Priorität. Erst wenn wir sicher sind, dass eine Veränderung nicht bedrohlich ist (und nur dann!), wenden wir unsere Aufmerksamkeit anderen Aspekten zu – z.B. ihren Vorteilen und Chancen, ihrer Nutzbarkeit für unsere eigenen Interessen, ihrem Unterhaltungswert oder was auch immer. Diese Reihenfolge hat sich in der Evolution bewährt: Lebewesen, die zuerst die Vorteile und Chancen überprüft haben und erst dann die Bedrohlichkeit, sind offenbar im Laufe der Entwicklungsgeschichte zu häufig auf der Strecke geblieben.
