German to English Science Mathematics & Statistics E-learning
"Multiplikationen mit ganzen Zahlen vorteilhaft durchführen"- this is from an e-learning material on multiplications applying associative and commutative laws.

What exactly does "vorteilhaft" mean here? I feel beneficial or favorable may not be suitable here. Could it be some other synonym relevant to mathematics?
