combination
Hard to tell without context, but Kombinationsbegruendung looks more like "reasoning behind/reason for choice of combination" of different medications. Does the context suggest anything like that? I don't think it refers to compounds (Bestandteile der Medikamente) unless it is a discussion of ONE medication and the combination of chemcials in it.

justification for the combination of two active substances in one
pharmaceutical specialty.
The reference gives a reasonably clear example for this meaning.
For the claimed range of applications the therapeutic effectivness is established sufficiently by the justification of the combination, as well as proven in factual application by clinical studies, carried out in accordance with the prevailing jurisdiction in the course of many years.
Well, may not be perfect, but perhaps you can get some suggestions out of it.
greetings,
Nikolaus
