box closing unit Explanation: ...and for 'Kartonauffalter', 'box forming machine' Interesting German-language video here: http://www.directindustry.de/prod/krones/automatische-karton... And a similar system here: http://www.accessoriesforvineyards.com/english/automatic-wir... • Transfer machine to move boxes to closing area using a mechanical arm for the perfect squaring of the box; • Head supply to pack bottles in horizontal box crossed with separator. Regarding the box closing unit, the machine is available in 2 models... I would say (cardboard) 'boxes' or even 'cartons', but 'cases' suggests more solid wooden containers for high-value wines. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 day1 hr (2014-03-24 20:31:46 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- As this is one stage on a conveyor system, I was thinking 'box closing station', but I can only find references from patents. I also suspect that 'station' may be Denglish. My earlier reservations about 'auffalten' stemmed from the notion of 'opening' boxes, but this is precisely what happens to the flat-packed boxes as they enter the conveyor system, i.e. they are opened out into shape. |
