German term or phrase: Riemenbefestigung
A person is describing an advertisement they saw for men's cologne. I don't get the use of this word. TIA, joanna

English translation:canvas/fabric strap/fastener
Explanation:
My immediate association was with a certain Hugo Boss men's aftershave/perfume bottle, where the cap hangs down when you unscrew it. A design classic is some circles. The "Riemen" bit refers to the strip of fabric/canvas material:

"The clear bottle is topped with a silver screw cap supported by a rugged green canvas strap"

Hugo: neat design, naff scent.

Oh - and the "Gefühl eines 'soliden' Parfums" in your text would be equivalent to the "rugged" in my link.

leather straps

Explanation:
A very interesting closure with leather straps (or laces)

Riemen to me implies leather, but I could be wrong...
