German term
aus der Fachkonzeption durch Klassen
German to English
Tech/Engineering
SAP
I wonder if someone could please explain what the German means exactly. I'm confused by "durch Klassen" does it mean "from conception through to classes" or "using classes". I find the German difficult to understand.

conceptional level is equivalent to the technical software level through classes
literal: entities of the conceptional level are equivalent to the technical software level through classes, made possible by object-orientation.
or:
the entities (abstract conceptualizations or representations of abstract or concrete things) are expressed through classes, made possible through object-orientation. (here I interpreted "Entsprechung" as representation)
Alternative or broader interpretation (depending on your context and what they refer to as entities):
the software level is a mirror image of the conceptional level (through classes)
what goes on on the conceptional level is now mirrored on the software level through classes.
This could mean that things that were in the past only reserved for the conceptional level (conceptualizations, representations) are now also done on the technical software level.
Objects/classes are not simply data/data families (categories) but they have more and more complex functions to fulfill.

In the past, information systems used to be defined primarily by their functionality: data and functions were kept separate and linked together by means of input and output relations.
The object-oriented approach, however, focuses on objects that represent abstract or concrete things of the real world. These objects are first defined by their character and their properties which are represented by their internal structure and their attributes (data). The behaviour of these objects is described by methods (functionality).

Erklärung auf Deutsch:
Interpr. 1:
