Kuschelträume

German to English Marketing Tourism & Travel Hotel website
I've been asked to proofread a website that has been translated into English by a non-native speaker. You can probably guess how the above has been translated. I'm really struggling to come up with a nice phrase to suit. Anyone feeling imaginative?

The text reads "Großzügige Kuschelträume werden in der hoch über dem See gelegenen Turmsuite wahr..."

Thanks in advance!

Discussion

Ramey Rieger (X) Sep 1, 2016:
She's in her ivory tower...Marie, Marie, let down your golden hair?
Lancashireman Aug 31, 2016:
Marie You are showing up as a "non-logged in visitor". This designation usually implies that the prospect of the asker returning to provide feedback or grade the question is slim. Can you please reassure us that we are not just talking to ourselves here? Thanks.
Lancashireman Aug 31, 2016:
Allegro It is indeed not a translation task. Asker: "I've been asked to proofread a website..." Major changes to the source text may therefore be unwelcome.
Johanna Timm, PhD Aug 31, 2016:
mit Brigitte und Michael "Großzügige Kuschelträume"
Träume von großzügigem Kuscheln?
Großzügige Träume vom Kuscheln?
Großzügige, kuschelige Träume?
oder vielleicht: Kuschelige Träume in großen Zügen?
Adrian MM. (X) Aug 31, 2016:
Source-country @ the asker Can we have the country of origin or region please. The phrase sounds def. right for the South German and Alpine region - but would go down like a lead balloon with some Hanseatics and Prussians I know.
AllegroTrans Aug 31, 2016:
And... ...this is not really a translation task at all, more a copywriting task.
Michael Martin, MA Aug 31, 2016:
With Brigitte 'Großzügige Kuschelträume' doesn't strike me as idiomatic German. That's a very non-descript adjective for the context.
BrigitteHilgner Aug 31, 2016:
More context is desirable Who are the target guests? Young couples on their honeymoon? Well-to-do elderly people who are looking for a cosy place?
In my opinion, "großzügige Kuschelträume" is dreadful German.
My associations: comfortable, spacious, a place to linger and relax, great view

dreams of being richly pampered

Whether you have dreams of being pampered in the suite of a luxury resort or you are looking for a more modest place to stay, you will find a good variety of options...

Trying to accommodate all three major elements of your phrase here:
großzügig > rich(ly)
Kuschel- > pampering
-träume > dreams

Has anyone suggested romantic yet? In EN, the word has a double-edged meaning: 1) medieval castles and scenery; 2) the prospect of love (and cuddles). Not so sure about DE where the emphasis is always on the first of these two.
your romantic fantasies come true

I wouldn't necessarily stick too close to the original text.
My non-native idea would be something along the lines of:
'Dreams of luxury come true in the wonderfully generous and cosy atmosphere of our Tower Suite high above the lake.'

If I've found the right link, I don't think its necessarily referring to luxury or pampering, though these may well be part of the package.

German term (edited): (AUT) Großzügige Kuschelträume

copious, cossetted and cuddle-me dreams

No, I can't guess how the above has been translated, plus kuscheln e.g.- in Austria can be cuddles not only of a partner, but of a baby, child, pet animal or soft toy.

NB grand cossetted and not corsetted....
