Sie wurden 1931 von Paul Daimler eingeführt. Bei Konstruktionen ab ca. 1990 sind sie meist als Tassenstößel ausgebildet, was ihnen dabei auch den Namen hydraulische Tassenstößel verleiht. Tassenstößel vergrößern die Reibfläche des Ventils zum Nocken und halten durch ihre Führung im Zylinderkopf das Ventil frei von Seitenkräften. Wenn der Nocken nicht im Zentrum des Stößels angeordnet ist, wird ein Einschlagen des Ventils verhindert, weil es sich bei jeder Betätigung ein wenig dreht. So bleibt das Ventilspiel über längere Zeit konstant, kann aber nur mit Spezialwerkzeug eingestellt werden. |
