peer agreement (net): +2the best, so to speak Explanation: “και πάσης Ελλάδος” is part of the title of the Archbishop of Athens: Αρχιεπίσκοπος Αθηνών και πάσης Ελλάδος, i.e. Archbishop of Athens and All Greece. In the early 1980s that last bit was used in an advertisement for the Serenata chocolate. You can hear it at the end of these old TV ads: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jOuyPnG3cig http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KoKOFUje7ac The rest doesn’t mean much, it’s just a chain of fillers, and the closest you might translate it as would be “(Serenata) reigns supreme, if you like, so to speak”. “ναούμ”, with an occasional apostrophe in various positions, is an informal abbreviated form of “να πούμε”. |
