Myocardial Infarction (MI)/Range of MI Explanation: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1761102/pdf/v080p00223.pdf< Found elsewhere: This review focuses on the incidence and clinical significance of increased troponin in conditions commonly associated with troponin elevations, particularly in those that may resemble acute MI. Regarding your earlier question: or other complaints in which acute MI is one of the differential diagnoses. However, troponin elevations indicate the presence but not the mechanism of myocardial injury, and myocardial damage can occur from a variety of mechanisms other than acute ischemia. ISCHEMIA seems to be the word you were looking for there. |
