Hindi term

sampurna yog

Hindi to English Other Certificates, Diplomas, Licenses, CVs
'Sampurna yog' and 'praaptankon ka yog' are words appearing in an examination marksheet. I am not sure what exactly 'yog' means here.

Thanks in advance for your time and effort.

sampurna yog = grand total & praapt ankon (2 words) ka yog = sum total of marks obtained

While I agreed with one of the earlier postings, I wasn't sure of myself. So Now I tried to read it in a flow and realized that you have typed praaptankon as one word, where as it actually is - praapt (obtained) ankon (numbers or marks)ka yog (sum total), hence the meaning is as above Grand Total or Maximum Marks (Sampurna yog) and sum total of marks obtained (praapt ankon ka yog). Any comments are welcome

yog means union, hence in maths it refers to addition since the union of two number results is a bigger number.

On certificates and marksheets this occurs commonly. Yog means "total".
