When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.
How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:
An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)
A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).
Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.
When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.
* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

: A couple jelentheti, hogy kétszer, de ha hangsúlyoznák, hogy ennyiszer, akkor szerintem ezt írnák.

"Push the "GO" button a few times";
however, "nyom" can also be translated as "press" (more often used for "lenyom") and "gomb" might as well be "key" (i.e. "billentyű"). We would have to know what tool/appliance/gadget this text relates to. I find the categories indicated above a little confusing, "Art/Literary - Art, arts & Crafts, Painting"? Is this perhaps a hand-held painting tool? Please specify.

"Couple" generally indicates a pair of something, i.e. two, so using "a couple times" in the translation might be misleading and be interpreted as "two times" / "twice," therefore I don't recommend it. The unambiguous English translation of the Hungarian word "néhányszor" is "a few times."

Use of "a few" as opposed to "a couple" in this context is recommended not only to avoid ambiguity but because of the formal nature of the text. The Hungarian verb "nyomja" indicates that this is *not* an informal context, as the verb is in the form of "önözés" that is not used in informal settings. If the verb was "nyomd" (used on friendly terms) then the informal "couple of times" variant might be acceptable, although still ambiguous.
See Merriam-Webster:
a couple of (functioning as singular or plural)
a. a combination of *two*; a *pair* of /a couple of men/
b. Informal - a small number of; a *few* /a couple of days/

: Definitely "few times", not "couple of times". Before settling in the US, I thought they were interchangable, but I learned they are not. "Couple" in "a couple of times", or "a couple of apples" always meant TWO to all the natives I talked to.

: Lehet, hogy ez UK-USA nyelvi eltérés, de a UK angolban az olyan kifejezés, ami így kezdődik: "a couple of..." leggyakrabban azt jelenti, hogy: több mint egy, de nem sok, egy pár, néhány, stb.!

Egyetértünk, csakhogy nem tudni, kiknek készül a fordítás, így miért kockáztassuk a félreértést, ha az elkerülhető az "a few times" megoldással?
