Mind a magyar, mind az angol "cobalt silk" helytelen. Irodalmi műben metafóraként még elmegy, de kobaltból soha nem csináltak selymet. A kobaltszármazékok festőanyagként még elmennek, de a kobaltnak csak ennyi köze lehet a selyemhez. A cobalt blue silk-re a gugli kb. 200,000 találatot ad.
