Italiano term

stato passivo esecutivo

Da Italiano a Inglese Affari/Finanza Contabilità/Amministrazione insolvency
In the passivo patrimoniale side of the balance sheet of a business in extraordinary administration. Comprises debts owed to staff, trade debts and borrowings plus others. I know that there's a stage at which the 'giudice rende esecutivo lo stato passivo' which makes me think it's 'debts to be paid' or similar. The terms can be found readily in Italian but I can't find a clear explanation of what it means.

Discussion

James (Jim) Davis May 3, 2016:
Hi Joanna, I don't do a lot of this stuff. Creditors make their claims to the courts or ask for "ammissione al passivo". Then: Il giudice delegato, dopo aver completato l'esame di tutte le domande con decreto dichiara esecutivo lo stato passivo; tale provvedimento chiude la fase di accertamento che si svolge davanti al giudice delegato.
So once it is "esecutivo" then those liabilities are considered rightful and therefore enforceable.

Surely, rende esecutivo is sthg. to do with making the liabilities enforceable and judgment
