Italian term

decorato ad impressione

Italian to English Art/Literary Archaeology Grave goods
This is from an article on funeral rites and grave goods.

Is this 'embossed'? TIA for any help.

Discussion

Shabelula Mar 4, 2017:
anche io ho immediatamente pensato a embossed, come quei bei timbri in rilievo dei certificati americani. Però appunto embossed è "in rilievo".

agree Barbara Carrara : No historical info has been provided by asker. However, I was about to post the exact same answer./Stamped decoration might be another option, for objects dating from the Ist millennium BC onwards (source: archaeology dict) /Hiya, Isabelle!
