Is this just a mixer, or is there something special about it?

The context, for what it's worth:
Per il biscuit: nella ***planetaria*** con la foglia lavorate la pasta di mandorle con la vaniglia, lo zucchero a velo e le uova . Con l’aiuto di un tarocco incorporate la farina setacciata con il lievito. A parte fate sciogliere il burro, aggiungetevi l’acquavite e 50 g del composto con le fragole. Amalgamate bene il tutto, quindi incorporatelo al resto del composto. Distribuitelo negli stampini e cuocete in forno a 170 °C per 25 minuti
