parents begin to hold children responsible for their actions Explanation: Good parenting is terribly difficult sometimes. As I mentioned in the discussion, the parent makes it clear to the child that actions lead to consequences; negative consequences might be the removal of a privelege (no tv program). Positive consequences are a special reward (we go to the movies together). In between are all the other tactics (time out, talking things over etc.). Actually, I see that the word accountable is used interchangeably with responsible, but accountable seems less appropriate when applied to very young children. |
