Italian term

sono sull'attenti

Italian to English Other General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters
I know that in a military context this means "I am standing to attention", but I am looking for a good translation in it's use in normal conversation -
Context is a telephone conversation between a man and a woman:
"R: pronto?
M: Si, sono Maria, ciao...
R: sono sull'attenti!
..."

Maria is a receptionist and Riccardo has eagerly been trying to get hold of her boss to arrange a meeting

In this context, could it be something like "I'm all ears" or "I'm listening" or "I'm at the ready"?

at the ready!

I think you need to keep a hint of the military - that's the image and that's why she laughs. At the ready has slightly more subtle military overtones.
