Italian term or phrase: e nel contempo la misura
This is from a review on the works of a young artist, and is entitled "Le figure di [artist xxx]". In this text, (I am told by the artist) the references to "figura" are regarding "character" and the text begins by discussing an actor/director's thoughts as he is guiding some visitors around Elsinore (i.e. Hamlet references).

--- l’attore-regista pensa mentalmente alla grande tragedia che dovrà recitare di lì a poco, tragedia di cui “ricorda la lucidità e nel contempo la misura”. ---


I am assuming that here "misura" relates to the spoken measure of Shakespeare's plays, but as this is targeted to English, would it be better to say "language measure", "iambic pentameter" or simply "measure". I find the last option a bit abrupt and non-specific. Any ideas?
