Italian term

Sangue midollare con frustoli

Italian to English Other Medical: Dentistry Exam
Context: Exam, Bone marrow aspiration;
con frustoli was translated by "with frustrum".
It seems to me that this refers to something else, and that in this case, "lesions" or "nodules" is what is meant (as seen in a previous Kudoz questions).
Thanks for enlightening me.
Proposed translations (English)
4 bone marrow blood with fragments

bone marrow blood with fragments

Due to the nature of the procedure, bone and/or tissue/s fragments can be found in the blood specimen

I hope it's clear

I would use fragments in this case.

Attached a link about bone marrow harvesting, but the concept is the same:
I quote "The harvested bone marrow is then processed to remove blood and bone fragments"

Sorry, I didn't notice that you refer to bone marrow harvesting.
Anyway, I confirm my answer

neutral Joseph Tein : Ciao Bruna ... tonight I come across a phrase "frustoli e frammenti di parete vescicale" in a bladder biopsy report ... what would you do with "frustoli" here?
