agree  philgoddard: Are you sure about "dock"? I can see that's what it's called in the Wikipedia article, but I've never seen a ship called a dock before. Carrier?//Yes, you're right :-)

  -> No, I'd never seen "dock" either but that seems to be the official and correct term. The particular Algerian ship isn't just a carrier - it's also a fighting ship for amphibious landings
