Przedmiot na studiach. Mam problem z tym terminem, bo glottodidactics występuje właściwie w większości na stronach polskich. Czy to będzie zrozumiałe dla odbiorcy z kraju anglojęzycznego?
Macie jakiś pogląd na tę sprawę?

I disagree with the Szulc defintion - steerable statistics does not make science, in short.

Glotto (tongue) didactics (teaching and learning) = language education.

Whether native or foreign - the TONGUE is taught/learned.

French structuralists made a good point about this.

Dariuszu, nie będę występować jako obrońca terminu glottodidactics, ponieważ gdybym nie miała watpliwości, nie zadałabym tego pytania. Natomiast Language education jest ok, zawiera w sobie pojecie teaching and learning (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Language_education) . Mozna poprosic moderatora o usuniecietego słowa w nawiasie ze słownika, żeby nie było tego sugerowanego przez Ciebie aktu gwałtu na angielszczyźnie. Zgoda?

Zadając wczoraj pytanie o glottodydaktykę nie przypuszczałam, że wywołam tym taką obszerną i interesującą dyskusję . W efekcie doczekałam się nawet własnej glottodydaktyki, dzieki Dariuszowi :) Dziękuję wszystkim za zaangażowanie w dyskusji i chęć pomocy! Muszę teraz tylko zdecydować jak skorzystać z tej dyskusji i wybrac odpowiedź. A nie jest to proste wbrew pozorom :)

The term is a development from Greek, it is a misrepresentation of terms to speak of special methods when this is an etymological development - other language cultures just went another way.

Chociaż może i ogólna ...nauczycieli w innych szkołach realizujących autorskie programy nauczania oparte o glottodydaktykę prof. Rocławskiego (glottodydaktyka jest specjalizacją na kierunkach lingwistycznych i dotyczy nie tylko języka polskiego), gdzie nie odnotowuje się przypadków występowania dysleksji, dysgrafii i dysortografii.

Metoda stworzona przez polskiego naukowca Bronisława Rocławskiego. Aktualnie rozwijana i popularyzowana także na forum międzynarodowym głównie przez Zakład Glottodydaktyki Instytutu Filologii Germańskiej Uniwersytetu Wrocławskiego pod kierunkiem prof. Romana Lewickiego oraz kontynuatorów jego działalności, np. na Uniwersytecie w Salzburgu.

Jest problem Myślałem, że chodzi o to:
Dr hab. Bronisław Rocławski, profesor APS w Warszawie i PWSZ w Ciechanowie, filozof, specjalista pedagogiki, polski autorytet w zakresie edukacji wczesnoszkolnej jest twórcą nowej koncepcji nauczania czytania zwanej Glottodydaktyką. Dzięki tej metodzie nauki czytania i pisania w języku polskim, dzieci poznają fonemy i wszystkie 44 litery (policz proszę, ile ty znasz polskich liter - x do nich nie należy). Uczą się także różnorodności zapisu pojedynczego dźwięku, dzięki klockom Logo. Specjalna technika ślizgania się po literach pozwala dzieciom w łatwy sposób nauczyć się płynności czytania.

Metoda Domana świetnie nadaje się do nauki wszystkich języków świata, jednak w języku polskim w pewnym momencie dziecko napotyka na trudności związane ze zmianą końcówek wyrazów przy odmianie. To blokuje je w zdobyciu pewności siebie i opóźnia próby samodzielnego czytania. Jednak umiejętne wprowadzenie elementów Glottodydaktyki po minimum dwóch latach nauki (...) pozwala dziecku nabrać pewności i szybko rozpocząć samodzielne próby czytania. Nabierając wprawy dziecko ponownie rezygnuje z literowania.

@Paweł Jackowski Nie zgodzę się z tym, że glotto to metoda, gdyż na tym przedmiocie studiowałem właśnie różne metody. Metoda może być np. naturalna, czy audiolingwalna, i o nich uczymy się na przedmiocie "Glottodydaktyka". Tak czy owak raczej trzeba użyć terminu "Glottodidactics" ale koniecznie z wyjaśnieniem, gdyż nie jest to powszechnie używany termin w świecie anglojęzycznym, a nawet i w polsce częściej pojawia się metodyka niż glottodydaktyka.

Owszem wpisuje się w metodyke, może być szeroko traktowana, ale pozostaje odrębnym działem. Glottodydaktyka to metoda a nie nauka. Dlatego IMHO uważam, że nalezy użyć tłumaczenia terminu Glottodidactics

"założenia "glottodydaktyki", oryginalnej metody prof. jęz. polskiego Bronisława Rocławskiego, pracownika Uniwersytetu Gdańskiego.
Jest to metoda przygotowująca już bardzo małe dzieci do nauki czytania i pisania i dająca niespotykane efekty w stosunku do tradycyjnych metod, którymi dotychczas pracowano w przedszkolach i klasach początkowych. "Glottodydaktyka" stosowana już jest z powodzeniem w wielu przedszkolach i szkołach na terenie całego kraju." Nie może to zatem być to samo co metodyka.
Dlatego, mimo wszystko, przetłumaczyłbym jako glottodidactics + language teaching w nawiasie.

Sam termin glottodidactics występuje bardzo często, nie tylko w polskim kontekście, np:
Dr. Gloria Cappelli is a teacher and a researcher at the University of Pisa. Her main research interests include language acquisition and glottodidactics,

brak tego terminu w anglojęzycznym świecie.

Cd. Tyle że był u nas podział na glotto ogólną i szczegółową - na jednej skupialiśmy się bardziej na teoriach nauczania, a na drugiej bardziej na praktyce

Glottodydaktyka z tego, co się orientuję, występuje tylko na niektórych wydziałach w Polsce, gdyż na innych nazywa się po prostu metodyką. Wiem, bo sam na lingwistyce zaliczałem glottodydaktykę, a żóna na anglistyce metodykę, a uczyliśmy się na tych przedmiotach tego samego. Dlatego też sam termin może być niezrozumiały nawet dla odbiorcy polskiego.

Slight variations on the term are widely used in many cultures, but rarely used in English-speaking cultures, and the translation is supposed to render the term in contemporary English, not to discuss its Greek meaning.

Contemporarily the processes of teaching and learning are not considered so separate - you would not considered teaching anyone without their learning :)

agree Tomasz Poplawski : If we are looking for an equivalent to be used in an English-speaking country, "glottodidactics" would not work. It is a specifically Polish invention, practically unknown anywhere else - see the Wiki, or other sources

A didactic method (Greek: didáskein, to teach; lore of teaching) is a teaching method that follows a consistent scientific approach or educational style to engage the student’s mind. The didactic method of instruction is often contrasted with dialectics and the Socratic method; the term can also be used to refer to a specific didactic method, as for instance constructivist didactics.

Didactics is the theory of teaching and, in a wider sense, the theory and practical application of teaching and learning. In demarcation from "Mathetics" (the science of learning), didactics refers only to the science of teaching.

This theory might be contrasted with Open learning, in which people can learn by themselves, in an unstructured manner, on topics of interest.
