Good try, although mixed capital might be too cryptic. My favorite is still "company with public-private capital", but I was hoping for a shorter term...

investee company

At least in some contexts, this is the term used to refer to companies in which the State has an equity holding (is a shareholder). It can refer both to wholly State-owned enterprises and to ones in which it holds a portion of the stock.
