Eu preciso de ajuda com esse termo. Eu suponho que se refiram a pessoas de baixa renda, mas a princípio eu prefiro não usar "low income" porque pode haver um outro termo consagrado que seja mais adequado.

"O microcrédito se converteu em microfinanças, temos um número cada vez maior de instituições que respondem as necessidades das pessoas de baixos ingressos, oferecendo-lhes serviços de crédito, poupança e seguros."

You could of course just say 'limited means', but using the extra 'financial' nails the expression into place rather better.
This is a more formal, tactful way of referring to those of us on low incomes.

: If she does not want to use low income (which is also correct), this answer works just fine. Another option is people with limited income.
